Greatly blessed, highly favoured and deeply loved

This year, I have made a decision that required a step of faith and revealed my priority in life.  I have a desire to pursue Master of Business Administration (MBA) since I graduated college.  It is my dream to teach in my alma mater, Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP).  I had been one of the students who belong to the economically challenged level of society and I want to contribute to the University that gave me access to quality and responsive education.  I believe that MBA program is a great tool to further develop my knowledge and skills to eventually fulfil my desire to teach.

I thank God for teaching me to wait upon His timing and to trust in His perfect plan.  After going through the admission process in De La Salle University (DLSU), I was accepted in the MBA Program.  It was God who made things work together for my good.  I am blessed with my family for they have supported my decision to study.  I know it will be a great challenge since I am paying for my education and I’m also supporting the needs of my family.  I am encouraged by my friends, colleagues and Pastor to pursue my passion in teaching by taking the first step in having an MBA degree.  I am inspired by my boss, who is also studying MBA in a different school.  Despite of her responsibilities at home, work and school, she managed to balance her time well.

(L-R: Bianca, Seleena, Isabel, Roche and Ruth)

This is my first term and I am all the more grateful with my exemption in Advanced Technical Writing (ENG501M).  For this term, I am taking the foundational courses- Management Action Research (BUS 530M) and Lasallian Leadership with Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility (BUS 560M), every Tuesday and Thursday in RCBC Campus.  It’s been a month since we started the class.  I have identified the things that I need to improve in myself.  I have also gained new friends and was able to work with some of them in our case analysis and group reporting.  I love studying our lessons and it is my passion to learn new things and share my insights with others.  Although I need to sacrifice my time to read articles and do my homework, I always keep in mind that in everything I do- in word or deed, I do it in the name of Jesus Christ.

I am greatly blessed, highly favoured and deeply loved by God.  It will be an exciting journey but despite all these blessings, He has reminded me to be humble.
Thus says the Lord, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises loving kindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the Lord. - Jeremiah 9:23-24
